although we are based in Ware we can travel virtually anywhere with the wall - which is why it’s called a mobile climbing wall - it is lowered and raised on hydraulic rams so we don’t have to worry about low bridges!

so, if we come to you then all we need is an area about 20m x 10m that is firm (grass is Ok) and level (anything more than a very slight incline is not appropriate) with good vehicle access

it’s an 8.5m mobile climbing wall

it has 4 climbing faces allowing 4 simultaneous climbs - each climb is different and each one varies in difficulty from reasonably simple to a little tricky, especially if you have little or no climbing experience.

and how do I get down?
simple - let go!

at the top of each run is an ‘auto belay’ device feeding out webbing which is attached to the climber’s harness - the device has a brake which reacts to a pull on the webbing (similar to a car seat belt) - the difference is that the belay doesn’t stop you completely but descends you to the ground in a controlled manner

the wall is most popular for use in fetes, parties and Scouts & Guides gatherings as it makes a very impressive centrepiece

kids love both the challenge (they keep coming back for more goes!) and the attention they get when they’re climbing

even small children have a go and are really proud if they get even a couple of feet off the ground

just pop along during the day most weekends in the summer and have a climb - bring the kids and see if you’re as brave as them!
